Drift Competitions launched in 2023 and has quickly built a decent following. The Birmingham-based family business offers cheap-entry cash draws, instant wins, tech, holidays and everyday prizes, with a more informal, community feel than some of the bigger operators.

What Can You Win?
Drift offers a surprisingly broad range of prizes.
Cash features heavily, from larger headline draws to smaller low-cost competitions and instant wins. You’ll also find phones, TVs, gaming bundles, Dyson products, gift cards, holidays, toys and other lifestyle prizes.
Some physical prizes and holidays also come with cash alternatives.
That variety is one of Drift’s strengths. It isn’t built around one prize category, and there are plenty of smaller competitions alongside the bigger headline draws.
How Does It Work?
The process is straightforward: choose a competition, answer the qualifying question, select your tickets and checkout. Ticket numbers are randomly allocated and shown in your account and confirmation email.
Standard draws are broadcast live on Facebook, with winners selected using Google’s random number generator. Drift currently advertises live draws on Mondays and Fridays at 9:15pm.
One of the better features is that draws are guaranteed. Drift says there is no minimum number of entries required and prizes will still be awarded even when competitions do not sell out.
That can make undersold draws particularly interesting, as fewer sold tickets can mean better odds.
Drift also offers instant wins, a mobile app and its own Drift Points loyalty system.
What Do Customers Say?
Customer feedback is very strong.
When checked, Drift had a 4.9 out of 5 Trustpilot rating from more than 1,600 reviews, with around 98% awarding five stars.
Positive reviews regularly mention quick cash payments, friendly communication and repeat winners. Customers report winning everything from cash and holidays to smaller prizes.
There are some negative reviews, but there does not appear to be one major recurring complaint. As always, customer reviews can help confirm that people are receiving prizes, but they cannot tell you whether an individual competition offers good value or good odds.
What Works Well?
- Guaranteed draws – competitions are not simply extended because ticket sales are low.
- Excellent customer feedback – 4.9/5 from more than 1,600 Trustpilot reviews.
- Wide prize range – cash, holidays, tech, gift cards and instant wins.
- Cheap entries – some competitions cost just a few pence per ticket.
- Live draws – standard winners are selected publicly on Facebook.
- Cash alternatives – available on selected physical and holiday prizes.
- Clear ticket information – competition pages show ticket limits, prices and sold percentages.
- Mobile app and loyalty points – useful extras for regular entrants.
The guaranteed draw policy is particularly appealing. A cheap ticket can become much more interesting when a competition closes heavily undersold rather than being extended until most tickets sell.
Things To Consider
Cheap ticket prices can still hide fairly long odds.
For example, a £500 competition costing just 5p per ticket may sound excellent value, but with 30,000 tickets available, a single ticket would have a 1 in 30,000 chance if the competition sold out.
Instant wins also make it easy for small purchases to add up. A few 20p or 50p entries may not feel like much individually, so setting a spending limit is sensible.
The main area Drift could improve is the consistency of its website information.
Its general terms currently say only one free postal entry per account or address is accepted and provide a Tipton PO Box. However, current competition pages state that multiple postal entries are allowed when sent separately and give the Birmingham business address.
Older FAQ information also refers to Sunday draws, while the homepage currently advertises Monday and Friday draws.
That does not suggest prizes are not being paid, but important entry information should be clearer. Anyone entering by post should check the latest competition-specific instructions carefully.
The Bottom Line
Drift Competitions looks like a solid addition to the UK competition market.
It is a registered company with visible winners, public live draws and an excellent body of customer feedback since launching in 2023.
Its guaranteed draw policy is particularly useful, as competitions with low sold percentages can offer much better odds than their original ticket limits suggest. The broad mix of cash, tech, holidays and smaller prizes also gives entrants plenty of choice.
There are a few areas to improve, particularly the inconsistent postal-entry information and some outdated FAQ wording. The large number of cheap and instant-win competitions also makes it easy for spending to creep up.
Overall, though, Drift has plenty going for it. Strong customer feedback, guaranteed draws, low-cost entries and a good prize selection make it well worth considering.
As always, check the prize value, total tickets and percentage sold before entering, set yourself a budget and treat any win as a bonus rather than something to expect.
