For example, the Lamborghini competition reviewed offered 74,999 tickets at £5 each, with each person permitted to buy up to 4,999. One ticket therefore had maximum odds of 1 in 74,999 if the draw sold out. The live odds could improve if fewer tickets sold, but £5 should not automatically be mistaken for good value without checking the entry cap.
Large per-person purchase limits also mean one customer can hold a significant number of entries. This helps explain why regular or higher-spending entrants may appear repeatedly in the results.
The Kilted Club deserves the same budgeting discipline as individual tickets. A monthly membership can be convenient, but recurring payments are easier to forget than one-off purchases. Compare the subscription cost with the entries, credit and benefits you would actually use rather than joining simply because it promises more chances.
Site credit prizes should also be valued differently from cash. Credit keeps the money within the platform and must be used for further entries, while cash can be taken away and spent anywhere.
Trustpilot shows that Kilted responds to just over half of its negative reviews, typically within a month. The company does engage with criticism, but a quicker and more consistent response to unhappy customers would strengthen the customer-service side further.
Most importantly, this remains a chance-based competition platform. Kilted appears legitimate, the prizes and winners are well documented, and the process is more transparent than many alternatives. None of that changes the fact that most tickets will lose.
